Tim and I have just returned home from an extra long weekend (5 days to be exact, more like a week holiday, but I think I get more enjoyment out of the sound of saying extra long weekend as if it’s a privilege only we could have possibly enjoyed!). With super low airfares we spent the 5 days exploring Sydney. I absolutely adore that place and could visit every second month without question. The fact we tend to visit the same few places time and time again is somewhat irrelevant because well, it’s our extra long weekend and we shall do just that if we choose. It was a jam packed short break and there is bundles I’m dying to share but after being away all weekend I am desperately behind in my laundry and catching up on Masterchef recordings so that will all have to wait for now.
Even though I love being away, nothing beats coming home to my own bed. When we moved into our second home we bought the most amazing king bed we could find. It has changed our lives and I’m not exaggerating one single bit. How we survived living in our first 65 square meter one bedroom apartment with our tiny queen bed for a year, I will never know. As soon as we moved into our larger townhouse and had the extra few meters of space, we upgraded to the bed that has probably been the glue that has stuck us together. There’s room for everyone (not that we’re into that kind of thing, but if you are, I’m almost positive you too would have a king bed) and it makes my heart happy when I get to slump down and do all kinds of important things like drink hot chocolates and read magazines whilst avoiding the laundry after being away for a few days.
Can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to on our trip!
