There seem to be only 2 levels on my scale of holiday accommodation. On the left we have incredibly dingy, almost unbearable and certainly questionable accommodation that keeps us guessing about our safety and then on the right there is gorgeously fitted out, unique, interior heaven.
Welcome to the right.
I picked the stunning Casa Ocean View in Canggu for our first try at villa life. As I mentioned previously I’ve always steered more towards hotels but this villa looked like a dream and it was my mission to stay there, even if we could only grab one night due to the availability but hey, mission accomplished. It was crisp and white and all the kinds of relaxed tropical vibes. Seriously there was no one hallway or corner that wasn’t considered and I can appreciate that in a property. Really I can.
Whilst the villa is un-be-liev-ably gorg, we had the unfortunate pleasure of sharing the space with a group of
what seemed like teenagers other patrons. Liquor bottles everywhere, coming home at 2am and then all jumping into the pool clothed and sitting outside our room crying out “Niiiicccccooooolllleeeee” twenty thousand times in drunk girl voice (you know drunk girl voice right, that one you pull out when you’ve had way too much and your friends are ignoring you because you’ve had too much so you just keep amping up the pitch?).
It was wonderful though.
I’m getting old. I’m now that old traveller who just wants to appreciate the interiors and have a good nights rest. Damn you and your youth Nicole.
This isn’t sponsored, I just loved the whole vibe of this villa (minus Nicole and her friends)! It was so well thought out and every detail has been thought of. If you are looking for accommodation in Canggu I highly recommend Casa Ocean View, you can find it here on Airbnb xx
