Any celebration isn’t a celebration at all without some bubbles on hand. This past weekend a group of friends and I travelled to the Gold Coast for a little soiree in honour of a 30th birthday. Cue excitement as I had the opportunity to try mixing my all time two favourite things… champagne and flowers. One feels it may have been a little bit of overkill had I gone to this effort with my usual weekend glass at home, by myself, watching Dance Moms marathons and avoiding the ironing basket to my right.
The cheat in me added potpourri to add some stronger colours but my local florist happily helped me out and gave me a bunch of flowers that were on their way out so I could add those petals into the mix. 5 ice cube trays and 3 days of patiently refilling the trays after the batch from the night before froze through, I had a bag full of beauties ready to go!
Safe to say the Champagne Enthusiast in me couldn’t have been happier.
