My Blog Is Scary

My Blog Is Scary

Nothing makes you question whether you want to invest another year into your online space more than your hosting provider sending you your yearly renewal invoice for payment. Do I want to keep my domain, do I care if someone wants to take over my site, do I have any energy left to punch out a post here and there and keep the masses happy (and by masses I mean my sister and sometimes my mum, if i remind her).

Of Beauty Rich & Rare, Bondi Beach

Australia Day always makes me feel a little bit warm and fuzzy inside. To think about all that we have here, the sun and the sand and the fact that I can eat ice cream in the warm weather all year long just does good things to my heart you know.

La Maison Rose, Paris

Sure, you can travel to Paris and spend your time gawking at the Eiffel Tower, or the Arc de Triomphe, and I get it….I’ve been there too. But there are other, somewhat institutions, that I feel are also necessary to visit. The kind of places that just pop up out of nowhere as you turn a corner, the unexpected yet delightful little spots that even after you leave, tend to stick with you the most.

A Little Italian Birthday

And on this morning as we wake up in Rome, we’re celebrating your birthday. Another year gone, and another year of adventures under our belt. And just like the Romans we’re working our way towards building an empire with everyday that passes.

Jardin du Luxembourg, Part Une

Make no mistake about it, I didn’t book our Airbnb a street away from Jardin du Luxembourg as an accident. It was 100% intentional and carefully considered as it happens to be one of my favourite places in the entire world and I wanted to be as close as possible for those moments when the sun decided to shine.

The Pre-Holiday Hustle

The Pre-Holiday Hustle

Going out for lunch on Friday at work and not returning home until 1.30am was probably not the best way to start the holiday prep. I’m currently sat on the couch looking at everything I have to organise around me, thinking how just packing tomorrow a few hours before we fly out is actually a bloody brilliant idea and exerting any energy beforehand would really just be wasteful.
